Jury Verdict – NOT GUILTY

Attorney Karp successfully defended a client charged with Disorderly Conduct and Assault and Battery in the Boston Municipal Court West Roxbury Division yesterday after a jury trial.  The Commonwealth presented eye witness testimony and photographic evidence.  After the Commonwealth rested its case, the judge entered a Direct Verdict (Required Finding of Not Guilty) on the charge of disorderly conduct. The jury found the Defendant not guilty on the remaining charge of Assault and Battery.

Jury Verdict – NOT GUILTY

In July 2012 Attorney Karp represented a client charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon and Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the West Roxbury Division of the Boston Municipal Court.  After a cross examination of the arresting officer, Attorney Karp was able to convince that trial judge that the prosecutor has not met his burden in producing enough evidence on the Assault charge for it to go to the jury, resulting in a Required Finding of Not Guilty on that charge.  The jury returned a verdict of Not Guilty on the remaining count of Negligent Operation.
